Nominal hours are the hours of training notionally required to achieve the outcomes of units of competency. In Western Australia, nominal hours are used as a mechanism for funding allocation. WA nominal hours guides, formerly known as 'implementation guides', are support resources to assist registered training organisations, teachers, trainers and assessors implement training packages in Western Australia.
Nominal hours guides provide information such as qualifications included in the training package, mapping information (how to correlate course information from older accredited courses or earlier versions of the training package with the latest endorsed qualifications, industry licensing requirements, traineeship, apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship information.
